I am slowly learning Hebrew so I can eventually read the Tanakh (the Hebrew Bible) for myself. When I read that there are five separate Hebrew expressions which have all translated into English with the single verb 'to teach', I get keen to find how the rest of the Tanakh really reads. I admit, I am also fascinated by the Hebrew language.
I read online commentaries written by rabbis on the traditional weekly Scripture portion. (There is a lot wisdom for righteous living in there.)
I occasionally attend a service at a synagogue. I do not pretend to be Jewish.
I am in no position to judge anyone who sees things differently, I am merely working things out at my own pace.
Some readers who know me will think that I have finally flipped. That's OK and in some ways you might be correct. I only ask that you, the serious follower of the Holy One of Israel, would carefully consider the information presented on the websites mentioned on the 'Links' page. I do not necessarily accept everything on every site, but by and large agree with the main arguments. I think it quite interesting that there are sites written from a Jewish perspective as well.
